At TowerWorx we take great pride in the engineering and design that goes into our products. Our tower products are designed to meet and exceed industry standard specifications. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight a few areas that we feel you should know about when purchasing a mobile communications tower.

 


All of our towers are made of 100% steel and are "hot dip" galvanized to protect against the weather and corrosion. Galvanized steel is an industry standard to protect steel.

 

 

The lattice work on our towers is comprised of individual welds, not bent tube steel that is tack welded into place. This provides extra strength and stability to the entire lattice tower structure.

 

 


Air craft quality cabling is used to bring each tower into a vertical position and then up to its maximum height. Several runs of cable with thickness up to 5/16” are used to raise the tower and equipment attached to it.

 

 

To ensure safety and prevent the accidental over extension of a tower, each tower has several automatic limiting switches.

 

 


Each tower has (2) electric motors that operate independently. A ¾ HP motor raises the tower from the trailer deck into the vertical position. Depending on the tower height, either a 1 or 2HP motor is used to raise the tower sections to full extension.

 

 

To provide additional stability on hard surfaces, we offer larger steel plates footings that slip over each leveling jack. TowerWorx also offers other accessories for guying the towers to the ground.
